Spartina Alternaflora Planting

Spartinal alternaflora is an intertidal saltmarsh cordgrass that provides valuable habitat, helps filter stormwater and aides in shoreline protection. Led by the Town of Oyster Bay volunteers have helped repopulate areas with this valuable plant within Turtle Cove near Centre Island Beach.
